Scenic Wilderness Rafting

Duration: 3 hours
Price: $99 adults
$70 children 5 - 12 years.

This easy 3 hour river trip is suitable for ages 5 and older. Float by established bald eagle nesting sites and fish wheels in action, meet some famous local characters while they tend to their fish wheels and hear about their experiences. Learn about the natural history of the area while keeping an eye open for bald eagles, moose and bear who frequent the shore in the shadow of the Wrangell Mountains.

Klutina River - Scenic and Wild Back Country with some Easy Class III Rapids

Duration: 4 - 5 hours
Price: $125 per adult
$70 per child 10 - 12 years old.

This 3 to 4 hour trip starts with a rugged and beautiful 14 mile backcountry drive along the rim of the Klutina River Canyon.  The drive to the put in offers great views of the river below and surrounding country from the canyon rim. There are several stops along the rim to photograph and hear about the natural history of the area and its colorful gold rush history. This is a fast river with some easily negotiable and fun class II and III rapids that makes it ideal for first-timers as well as experienced rafters.  Just ride along in an oar boat or for those wishing for a more challenging experience we also offer paddle rafting upon request. This trip includes water and a snack. The age minimum is 10 yrs.

Tonsina River - Class III and IV Whitewater

Duration: 6-8 hours
Price: $225 per adult. Children 12 - 15, $175

Similar to the Klutina River except there’s an exciting class IV whitewater section, and no road access between the put-in and take-out. This 23 mile, 6 to 8 hour trip has some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities of any river in the area because of the remote wilderness setting. This salmon filled river attracts multiple wildlife species. We offer oar boats ideal for first timers, and paddle raft options for those who are looking for more of a challenge. This trip includes water and a snack.
